Frustration

Hi,

sitting here after a weekend of electric storm where we’ve to replace
complete equipment on one tower.

Sunday we’ve another failure. Our complete Network was offline. So what happened.
A RB450G died and killed one of our uplinks. No problem. We leave the housing
center with a second link. But OSPF did not work. The RB1100AHx2 doing
the second line did not announce the default route with OSPF.
A reboot of the RB1100AHx2 helped (after we’ve found the problem). Time to drive
and replace the RB450G.

We’ve done everything to avoid this. 2 BGP-Routers on different UPS, 2 links in
different directions, OSPF to do automatic rerouting.

I’m a Mikrotik Fan. But sometimes …

Please contatc support and send them supout files generated at the time when problem ocurred.

You’re kidding? The whole net is down and I take some time to generate a supout before I know the reboot helps?
I can send you a supout now.

I can tell you the config. The router has 2 default routes to 2 bgp routers (RB1000) dependend on ping.
One of these routers was not reachable due to the dead RB450G. It exports this route to OSPF
as type1 if installed.

Yes, please send a supout now at least we will check config.
