We are well aware that the FTC is merely a convertor, I’m trying to find out if the FTC has some sort of intelligence to turn off the SFP laser after the DDM info perhaps indicates the SFP is getting too hot.
What we are finding is that FTC’s SFP LED remains on (ie the SFP module is receiving light) bu the switch side indicates the SFP is down (ie SFP in the FTC is no longer transmitting)
We are now testing a variety of SFP’s to determine the cause, but thought I would also ask here.
