FTC w/RouterOS?

Will the FTC run a full routeros v6? :open_mouth:

It is a media converter - not a full layer 3 device - so the answer is no. It has an SFP slot and an Ethernet connector - and the case is waterproof.

GE support?

Yes.

When I get my hands on one I may seriously consider using these in active ethernet fttp deployments. The only downside is that I would still need another box outside the house for the drop to enter and provide slack. If only the bottom compartment was big enough for a few loops of fiber and had a way to anchor the fiber to the base.

On fttp deployments we have always chosen not to enter the customer’s prem with fiber. At at a residence it is much less of a pain to enter the house with copper. At businesses it is usually pretty easy to get fiber all tbe way to a router, not so at most houses.

A ftc designed to be used as a demarc point paired with a gigabit-poe-out routeros router would be amazing.
