FTP server behind MT Firewall

Hi All

I am having trouble with a ftp server I have on a local LAN behind an MT v3.10 firewall. I have added a DST-NAT rule forwarding all traffic to a specific IP to the internal server (I have 5 Live Inet addresses) and have a filter rule allowing the FTP traffic in.

The FTP server works 100% from inside the LAN but when we connect from outside we are able to login and connect but then the FTP server is not able to establish a proper PASV ftp connection. I am assuming there is some traffic being blocked by the firewall due to the backwards nature of passive FTP connections. My log shows no blocked or dropped packets.

Has anyone had any experience with something like this. Any advice to share with me?

Thanks
Simon

What’s ur FTP IP address. Is it Public or Private?

Can u plz set a real ip in FTP server, then try from outside.

& check (FTP Server) /etc/hosts.allow
/etc/hosts.deny
