currently i have the tim fttc modem and in cascade RG951 which opens a second PPPOE.
I wanted to know if one day with the transition to FTTH I can disconnect the current TIM modem and connect the new FTTH modem with a LAN cable without having to change anything on the RB

Mi aggancio anche io.
Anche io come Alberto attualmente ho FTTC Tim con Mikrotik.
Il doppino è connesso al modem Tim, il quale si connette in VDSL con la centrale.
Poi ho attaccato il cavo WAN dal modem Tim al Mikrotik, connettendomi in PPPoE. La centrale TIM assegna quindi un indirizzo IP Pubblico per il MKT.
Di fatto quindi sto utilizzando il modem TIM solo come modem e non come router.
Il modem TIM in realtà anche lui negozia in PPPoE con la centrale e anche lui ha un altro indirizzo IP Pubblico (ho dovuto mantenere ciò altrimenti non mi funzionavano i telefoni che con la VDSL usano il VoIP e sono connessi al modem).
Settimana prossima mi arriva a casa l’FFTH. Da quanto ho capito mi montano un OLT che deve essere una sorta di media converter: converte la fibra in cavo rame. Da li vorrei collegare il cavo rame direttamente al MKT. Penso che questo funzionerebbe senza problemi.
Vorrei pero collegare un secondo cavo dal MKT al Modem TIM per farlo connettere anche lui per permettere alla fonia di funzionare.
Dite che è fattibile? Idee su come configurare la porta dal mikrotik al modem tim?
Non hai spiegato se lasci la connessione precedente o meno, per continuare ad usare il VoIP sulla connessione precedente.

One year later, after quite a few problems, I have FTTH Tim in my home.
The configuration I adopted is the same:
The Fiber enters in ONT (Optical Network Terminal), a sort of media converter that converts fiber to RJ45. RJ45 Ethernet Cable is connected to Mikrotik ether1 ports.
I set up the VLAN 835 according to Tim specifications. I have create a bridge with ether1 and ether2. VLAN 835 is tagged on both.
So I have set up PPPoE connection according to Tim specification using VLAN835 such as interface.
Finally, i have connected the Tim Modem using WAN interface to Mikrotik Ether2.
It works perfectly. I have 2 public ip address: one for mikrotik and one for Tim Modem (that i use only for VoIP) because my house phone is connected to Tim Modem.
Note that if you were using the Tim Modem with VDSL you need to reset it 2 times before you can use with WAN interface.
