Future IDS/IPS Integration in MikroTik Routers?

Hello,

I’m wondering if MikroTik has any plans to implement IDS (Intrusion Detection System) or IPS (Intrusion Prevention System) functionality directly in their router operating system (RouterOS)?

With increasing concerns around network security, having built-in IDS/IPS capabilities could be a significant advantage for MikroTik users—especially in small to medium-sized networks where external solutions might be cost-prohibitive.

Is there anything on the roadmap regarding this kind of feature? Or are there recommended third-party solutions that integrate well with MikroTik setups?

Been wanting a package we can add to ROS for years to support it natively. We had to quit using mikrotik in business end solutions because of this (RFP requirements, CyberSecurity insurance, etc). Still use them in core ISP networking, remote troubleshooting endpoints, and many other things since its the Swiss army knife of networking, but sadly not business edge.
