Hello,
I just started using a Mikrotik 951G-2Hnd. I was able to configure almost everything I needed but I had an issue.
My Galaxy S2 can’t connect to internet. My Galaxy S2 connect to the router, can access my home server through the router,
can access to any other device but can’t access to the internet. The only app that seems to access the internet is whatsapp.
I performed the same test with two other galaxy s2 and the result was the same.
All other devices (PCs, notebooks, printers) connected via cable or wifi work perfectly.
I think that there is some setting to be changed within the router but I don’t know which one.
Assuming ether1 is your internet…
Is your wlan1 interface part of the same bridge as ether2-5?
Also in your wlan1 interface config under advanced, is the preamble set to both?
Im Having the same problem, I have a pppoe connection going into ethe1 and all my other ports are connected to the bridge including the wlan. i find this very wierd, can anyone assist?
Im having the same problem, all my ports are bridged including wlan
got the same problem… RB751U-2Hnd, ROS 6.1
Seems like it can not resolve DNS requests. Whatsapp could be connecting with IP address only.
Try opening this page from your phone browser, http://173.194.70.99/
Does it open the google search page? If yes then your phone doesn’t have correct DNS settings.
Under IP–>DHCP server–> tab: Networks. Do you see a network 0.0.0.0/24? If yes, double click on it, set the default gateway (probably your modem), and set the DNS by hand (find out from your ISP which one they use).
Switch OFF the phone, and switch it on. See, if it changes…
If you do not see the 0.0.0.0/24 network, then add one.
