Gaming on WLAN with RouterOS

Hi all

I would really appreciate some help on enhancing our network. We are running a wireless network (2.4 GHz) specifically for WLAN gaming. For all purposes, the setup works fine. We are not using our network to connect to the Internet - it is only dedicated for gaming (NO file sharing).

We are currently using this equipment for the AP:
RB600 with RouterOS v3.10 + 180 degree sectorized antenna. The AP has been set to AP bridge and people (clients?) connect to the AP via static IPs (PCs and CPE units). We’ve successfully set the network up and are able to connect and play LAN games with each other. So far, so good.

The only hickup is the we also have a WISP on a different set of antennas. To go from WISP mode to BRIDGE mode on the CPE units are slightly cumbersome, but not a big headache. I would prefer if things were slightly more efficient. Also, when new people join the network, I would like to make the joining process (and accounting process) as painless as possible.

Therefore, can one run this type of setup on the RB600 for WLAN gaming (currently Bridged mode with static IP’s for CPE units and PCs) with PPPoE? Otherwise; Is there an alternative setup to a PPPoE setup that would accommodate WLAN gaming?

Ultimetaly, this gaming link would operate exclusively, but should still allow for WLAN gaming without folding over (or being compromised because some smuck is copying large files accross the WLAN while gaming is going on).

Please help.
Thanks again. Your responses would be deeply appreciated.

Anyone? Please?
