Gateway Problem

Hello ,

I have Installed MIkrotik RouterOS on The VPS . so , I have The New /26 subnet ( ip range ) but the subnet haven’t own gateway . i should use the Main server gateway .

Example : MIkrotik IP from subnet range is : 100.100.100.10

Main server Gateway is : 50.50.50.1

I have configured the server IP , DNS and used the main server Gateway as Route . but THe VPS not conected to Internet . and when i want to ping gateway ip . i see no route to host message .

how can i fix this problem ? ( i was installed and used the mikrotik several times , but from that servers i had own gateway for subnet and i don’t have any problems )

Having a gateway in the same subnet IP address is, is mandatory… can you please show a graph of the network?

Hello ,

I have no way , i don’t have owned gateway for this subnet ( datacenter told me for use the main server gateway as gateway ot this subnet )

LIke :

Subnet : 40.20.30.128/26 netmask : 255.255.255.192 gateway ( main server gateway ) : 85.84.86.1 dns : 4.2.2.4

This is working On Windows VPS’s !!! but on the mikrotik vps , not working
