I know this is more about Mikrotik’s web site than anything else, but would it be possible for:

  • Change logs to be made available for the beta packages.
  • More detailed change logs in general, perhaps indicating which specific functionality was altered.

This way, we can easily determine if packages/components we use have changed (and how so) and therefore know weather or not an upgrade would be beneficial.

Well, no specific examples come to mind where something was omitted explicitly, but I was hoping for more details on some fixes… For instance, in 3.15, this entry appeared in the changelog:

*) dns cache - improved static entry behavior;

Now, I submitted the bug report that lead to this change, so I know exactly what this change fixed. However, to anyone else something like this might have been more useful:

*) dns cache - fixed incorrect AAAA response that prevented some systems running IPv6 from being redirected to the hotspot page.

Additionally, I would very much like to know what changes are being made actively in the test packages. For instance, I know a lot of Nstreme tuning was done a while back in the wireless-test package from this thread:

However, I could find no mention or record of most of them in the currently-available changelogs.
