Hi to all i am buiding a wisp with ubiquiti and microtik equipment. And need some advise.
At the moment i have my adls router in bridge mode connected to my microtik router (pppoe client) that connects to a switch that hands out ip numbers to my cpe costumers
At the moment i put my wpa password into the cpes for the connection to my antennas and the cpe connects to my cutomers home router thats in router mode and my customers have there own subnet..
1 Whats the best setup for a wisp and microtik…
2 Is it better to have microtik as a pppoe client with a pppoe server for my customers or is the way im doing it ok
3 ok for example i have someone connected to my microtik of ip 192.168.1.247 it shows about 20 connections established and about 200 with out connection is this normall to see also im getting ip addresses range from 41.x.x.x.x to 109.x.x.x not established is that also normall
4 what does the the letter U and A stand for on the left hand coloum of firewall
5 also im trying to slow down bittorrent with encryption on because its slowing down my network but im having no luck with that the only one that worked a bit was this

but the problem is when bit torrent was encrpted it did not slow down i had to slow down the queue with remaining connections but that also took skype down so bad i could not even make a call.
