General WDS Questions

Hi there, I have reviewed the manual and read through these forms about wds but many times the examples or questions in the forms just confuse me.

So Let me give you an example setup and ask if my assumptions are correct.

2.4ghz Access point that has a dhcp/hotpsot/radius/ppoe setup. I Leave the interface as AP and turn on wds.

Each addional Radio I set to the same freq and ssid as above and set to enable wds. Do I need to set any IP on this box? and if so do you set it on the wlan1 (radio) or the wds interface?

And what additional steps do I take?

Setting up a 2.4 and a 5.8 radio at each location is there a bennfit to linking all of radios using 5.8 instead of just doing a mesh on 2.4 and not using 5.8 at all?
