Geode SC1100

Howdy,

I’m currently using MeshAP and am having some issues with suppport and getting it to work with Aradial Radius. While i’m waiting for support I thought I’d see if …

Does Mikrotik RouterOS work on the Geode SC1100?
Does mikrotik work with Aradial Radius ?

Looking forward to some answers and suggestions. I may switch to RouterBoard but this all depends on replys and testing with MeshAP.

Anyone had experience with both MeshAP and Mikrotik? Preferences? I run 20 Meshing hotspots at the moment but am not too far down the track I think to switch technology.

I’ve switched across to Mikrotik and FreeRadius. Life just got simpler.

we are running aradial radius an have nearly 100% mikrotik OS
works fine and also support from aradial is good

If you’re going to switch to ROS you might as well switch to Routerboard over a Geode SBC while you’re at it as you will save $$$ and have comparable or better performance.

I agree, already there. 60 odd ROS installs and climbing. however, I still have 25 Crappy geodes to deal with.

We also tried 16 MeshAP units in 2004.
Had to take all of it down. Major network dissruption.
MeshAP cannot compare to what you can do with Mikrotik.
I have to admit I do not know how MeshAP is now.
The kind of network we now have, were not going back.
