Get UUID from inside guest CHR

Hi all,

I’d like to be able to find out some kind of identifier for the VM the CHR is running inside from the guest itself. The VM Host is KVM / QEMU based.

In a linux machine I can run ‘dmidecode’ to get the UUID of the guest. This doesn’t seem to be exposed in RouterOS.

Is this possible? Could it be added?

I know I could match MAC addresses or similar, but UUID would be a more elegant solution.
