Getting “expected end of command” when running “/export terse”

When I ssh into one of our mikrotik routers and run an export with the terse option I get:

[admin@c0re] > /export terse
expected end of command (line 1 column 9)

On our other 3 routers it is working as expected. What is wrong with this one? I’m guessing the command is somehow mangled through the ssh connection?

“terse” is only available since 6.40. the router was running an older version.
