Getting no internet on Hap AC Lite

Hello,
Last night I tried to connect my printer to the wifi and I pressed the WPS button on the back of the router. This wasn’t working, so I held it down and still nothing. I then decided to have a look in the settings at 192.168.1.1 and find a button that says WPS Client. I then pressed this and start without thinking. And ever since I’ve been able to connect to the WiFi but not access the internet.

Any help on this subject would be very useful as my next option is getting the company that installed it to come and fix it which will cost a sum.

Thanks,
Jude

Many (important) details are missing or are unclear.

On the back of which router?

I believe that the AC LITE has not a physical WPS button.

The 192.168.1.1 is the AC LITE or another device?

If the former, how do you connect to it?
Winbox, normal browser (Webfig), or what?

You should describe with as much details as possible how your network is setup (if there are other routers or access points besides the AC LITE).

Then follow the instructions here:
http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/forum-rules/173010/1
and post your configuration.

We diagnosed this over on the Discord server. The tl;dr is that on the hAP ac lite, the Reset button has an extra optional capability to trigger the WPS server for a time, and the only thing separating the cases is how long you hold it. Too long, and your intended WPS trigger becomes a reset to defconf! :man_facepalming:

Maybe I see it from a different perspective :open_mouth: , but I would have said that the Hap Ac Lite has a reset/wps button (inside a hole) on the front.

This is interesting, however, many/most “consumer” devices have the ethernet ports on what is clearly the “back” of the device, whilst most/all “professional” or “prosumer” devices have them on what is as well clearly the “front”.

I always assumed that the front to be the side where the power and activity leds are, but I now understand how it can be confusing, in a device like the hap AC or AC Lite TC, the side where ethernet ports and power led are is clearly the “back”, on the AC lite the “other side” is a white empty rectangle, so I will still call it “back”, but maybe the OP device is a AC Lite TC and the description was fully accurate.
