Getting on the box with telnet

Hello, I have a new routerboard unit and I’m trying to get on the box to configure it via telnet.

What telnet command should I enter to start the config dialog with the device?

telnet command from your windows?

Start -> RUN -> CMD

then

telnet 192.168.100.1

of course that should be the IP of your router, if you haven’t configured it already, there is no IP and telnet will not work, you will have to use Winbox MAC, like explained here: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/First_time_startup
