Getting Signal Strength over ENET

Hi guys,

I am just starting to find my way around the whole MikroTik setup on a pair of RB133’s with SR9 cards.

I have a nice link between two computers, but what I am really after a way to get the connection signal strength via the wired connection (ENET).

I can obviously see the sig strenth in winbox, but I would like to embed it in one of my applications.

Any guru’s out there that can tell me how?

Best regards,

James

Hi ;
your requirements not clear , could you give us further details ? .
with best regards

Sorry,

I just want to be able to read the signal strength of a connection between two routerboards via a remote computer.

I want this value to be available to my own program instead of using dude etc.

Any chance?

Best,

James

You should be able to retrieve the the values you want through SNMP.

Hi ;
Glad to write here .
could you explain how to use the snmp ? :confused:
this is the beginners part of the forum , it better to explain . :open_mouth:
with best regards

Can anyone help explain?

I have looked through the manuals etc, but if there is a simple example somewhere (even of another service), I could probably figure it out.

Best,

James
