Is there any way to improve dude startup … I have a dude with 100 devices which sometimes takes 2’ stuck in “getting stuff” to load…
and I have a big one with possibly more than 1000 which if I by mistake exit dude then it needs 2-3+ hours to manage to load. The moment it loads it runs smooth but to start up takes (really) hours!
As suggested by another poster, who’s post I cannot find, apologies as you deserve the credit for this.
The problem does indeed seem to be MTU related. A simple fix is to run an EOIP tunnel to the DUDE server and access it via the tunnel. I am currently running dude v 6.49.2 on an x86. Runs perfect with no crashes and loads almost instantly. My DB is over 250MB with something like 300 monitored devices over 12 maps.
Before adding the tunnel it took many hits on the connect button to actually load and often crashed when loading a large graph
