Hi all,
I hope you all can help me figure out why I am losing so many CudePros to water damage in the housing. We are losing an absurd amount of these thing due to water in the housing.
The issue occurs if it’s pointing up or down a few degrees.
We have checked the cable, connector and port and they don’t seem to have water in them.
Please help if you’re having water issues.
I’m at the point of dropping the 60ghz tik all together.
As always a simple search shows you aren’t the only one with this issue.

Sealant issues AFAICT:

The idea of making one or two drain holes is not (IMHO) a bad one.
Of course replacing the sealant, let alone drilling holes, will void warranty.
On other devices, in the past, I used succesfully a couple tiny pipes sealed in the drilled holes to which a short length of rubber pipe was fitted to avoid heavy rain to enter the device from the holes.
Those devices are I believe classified as IP54, even if there is no factory defect, they are “border line” for use outdoors in many climates, probably they should be engineered and manufactured to reach IP65 classification.
