I have an 750G router with the following configuration:
the internet connection is PPOE
on ether2 i have connected a wireless router
on ether3 i have a synology ds211+ nas (with gigabit)
Why the 750G on ether3 is showing rate: 100Mbps only? How I can configure the router and/ or the NAS to work on gigabit?
/interface> ethernet monitor ether3-local-slave
status: link-ok
auto-negotiation: done
rate: 100Mbps
full-duplex: yes

Hi,
Are you sure your nas is Gbit? And there’s no (10/100) switch in between the RB750G and the NAS?
I got this without changing anything on ethernet port settings:
[admin@stn500] /system resource> /interface ethernet monitor 0
status: link-ok
auto-negotiation: done
rate: 100Mbps
full-duplex: yes
[admin@stn500] /system resource> /interface ethernet monitor 1
status: link-ok
auto-negotiation: done
rate: 1Gbps
full-duplex: yes
[admin@stn500] /system resource>
ether1 is wan (10/100 modem)
ether2 is currently my notebook with Gbit interface.
I’m sure that the NAS has Gigabit, also my laptop has gigabit but the 750g reports only 100Mbps. The NAS and the laptop are directly connected to the 750G router.
Also, on “ether2-local-master” the rate: 10Mbps
/system resource> /interface ethernet monitor 1
status: link-ok
auto-negotiation: done
rate: 10Mbps
full-duplex: no

just for experiment sake, remove this port from the switch group (unset master port) and see if anything changes.
How can I do this (unset master port)?
I did this but I lost the connectivity with the NAS. Neither the ping from router to the nas doesn’t work .

of course, you removed it from the switch connect to the router from another port, then see what the interface speed is from winbox
I tried but it seems it’s only 100Mbps. Other suggestions? Please!

click that “make supout.rif” button on the left, drag the file from the files window to your desktop, and email it to support, we will check it out.
It could also be you ethernet cable.
Have you checked the settings in the NAS ?
How long of a run is the ethernet ? (feet or meters)

Have you tried to connect the 750G to another device with 1GB ethernet?
You could try that first, to make sure where is the problem.
