GNS3 CHR with MS Loopback adaptor

Hi friends
I am new in Mikrotik and trying to learn using the GNS3 emulator, I have installed the latest version on my Windows 10, with CHR v7.11.2 and also tried CHR v 6.49.10, both stable versions..
I have set the IP address on the loopback adaptor to 192.168.11.1/24 on the CHR in GNS3, and I have config my loopback IP to 192.168.11.254, both with subnet 255.255.255.0, I have started the service on the GNS3, and everything was connected.. but when I do ping on my command promote on laptop 192.168.11.1, I get a reply destination host unreachable, I am hoping someone can explain to me why this basic setting that causes me many difficulties, appreciate having some guidance.

Use a “Host-only network” and stop messing about with loopback adapters.

thanks. Could you explain on what you have suggested, i don’t have any idea what a “host-only network” is, I am just starting to learn on emulation, thanks for the reply
