I think in quite a lot of data centers they do not use water for fire protection. Usually some gas.

When using water, everything can be damaged, even equipment not affected by flames. Costly in case of errors !
Not so with gas.

Mine was a joke, but the water really flooded them… :laughing:

hmm… was that the data center which uses water radiated hvac systems? like the one we seen on YouTube?

Weren’t they also experimenting with submerged data centres ?
Or planning to ?

hmm.. i don’t think that the water really entered the server farm, as in breaking all the devices.

but usually, the weakest area is the electric supply part, which hardly elevated in any construction design.

so, maybe the damage was only power outage?
