This may be a dumb question but I was having a hard time finding a definitive answer: Does the Mikrotik GPOE-USB also use passive POE?
I have a 260GSP and recently got an IP-KVM device that can't use it's passive POE, so I thought about getting the splitter to solve the issue but the product page says it supports the 802.3af/at active POE standard.
I suppose the short answer would just be no since it doesn't say it support it but I figured it might since it's still in the Mikrotik ecosystem. I figured I'd use the GPOE-USB or a RBGPOE with a barrel jack to usb c splitter.
It seems like the good Mikrotik guys have to pay a fee per word they post on product pages.
You need to read between the lines and pay attention to every detail to understand features of a device.

The combination of "802.3af/at" "12-57V" actually means:
The device supports BOTH 802.3af/at ANDpassive 12-57V PoE in.
This is a general pattern, most (if not all) Mikrotik devices that have 802.3af and/or 802.3at mentioned are also compatible with passive PoE (Mode B), with voltage range of 12-57V.
