GPON Fiber & MikroTik Router with SFP Module

Hello everyone.

I’ll do my best to be as concise as possible.

I have this Mikrotik router: RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN with GPON Optical Fiber 1Gbps from Digi (RCS & RDS Romania).

Hi,

What do you intend to achieve?

Remove the router and ONT from the ISP and directly connect the fiber to the mikrotik?

If so, I’m sorry to tell you that that SFP module is useless for this. You need a SFP GPON ONT.

The TE ZXHN F660 is a fiber optic terminal (ONT) used for fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) services. As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, the TE ZXHN F660 ONT supports GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) technology. In GPON systems, downstream data is transmitted at a wavelength of 1490 nm, and upstream data is transmitted at a wavelength of 1310 nm.

I want to replace my ZTE F660 ONT router with an SFP GPON ONT module.
