GPON ONU module alternatives

I’d like to replace ISP ONU Huawei EchoLife HG8310M with SFP module + Hex PoE.
As I understand, https://mikrotik.com/product/SFPONU could be the one I need, but it seams to be discontinued.
Is there any alternatives?

i have the similar dream, hEX S + some GPON ONU SFP
: (

Is anybody has successful experience of using any GPON ONU module with Mikrotik? Would infinitely appreciate your advice.

There are several threads in the forum, e.g. http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/usage-gpon-module-sfp-in-spain/104807/620

I have used Dimiks (based on the Realtek RTL960x series chips) smart ONT.
First caveat: Do not unplug/insert live. Mine would reset my RB5009.
Second: Work closely with your ISP. Certain OMCI messages can flag your device and be blacklisted.

I have cloned a Calix 803G using a USB serial to TTL cable.
I am a fixed public IP because my ISP uses CGNAT.

I want to obtain and try a Leolabs smart stick.

actually, my ISP installed Huawei EchoLife HG8240T5 and I replaced the Huawei with GPON STICK LXT-010S-H from LEOX and connected to MikroTik RB5009UG+S+ and works great vlan for internet and I got static IP but I don’t know how to setup vlan for iptv and voip

I have test and use Dimiks but doesn't work for me so this is why I use ONT-010S-H

PPPoE issue perhaps?

Both ae based on the Realtek chips. I can tell that the Dimiks is a hacked version.
The web interface they removed the upper left corner graphic that was, I am sure, ODI.

I have a static public IP so I don’t register with PPEo.

FS.com have GPON SFP modules that should work. I haven’t tested it, but if you contact them I’m sure they could either test for you or let you return it if it doesn’t work.

I bought one for my RB5009. It is FoxGate ONU 1001XP-SFP.
It works. But it does not tell any information about it salves to the router. Perhaps because of eeprom-checksum: bad

Have no idea how it can be fixed.

As I understand none of xPON SFP ONU now works on the latest stable.

Notice - SFP/QSFP functionality has been refactored for consistent behavior and better scalability. Now, compliance with SFP/SFP+/QSFP MSA standard is mandatory. This may cause issues with SFP/QSFP modules that are not fully compliant. All current MikroTik modules abide this standard.

Mine FoxGate ONU 1001XP-SFP does not. :frowning:

Bravo, Mikrotik.
