I want to install a GPS on a RB750Gr3 router board.
Have the extra packages installed.
When I insert GPS into the USB port, I see the port.
But I can not change parameters, baud rate, parity etc.
I have disabled the port usb1 but still can not make any changes.
See image.
I tried with RoS 6.40.7 bugfix and the last stable version.
Someone an idea what the problem is?
I have disabled the port in console and it did not work.
I rebooted the router and I managed to set the parameters.
Thank you very much for your advice.
This problem is solved.
I have posted a tutorial on my website on how to install a GPS mouse. Unfortunately,
I have only got one GPS mouse fully operational and this is the Haicom HI-204III-USB.
See here for the tutorial with a lot of screenshots. https://www.wirelessinfo.be/gps-installeren-op-de-mikrotik-router/
Did you try to use “Remove” instead of “Disable” in System->Console? I don’t have anything to test with, but I’d expect it to release the port immediatelly, without requiring reboot.
Hello Nichky, thank you for the positive reply.
You can always read the location on the router.
But a route can not be mapped out.
Is that what you mean?

@ Sob, I had to reboot the router before I could make the changes.
I have to turn off the port in “system” “console”
I try this out for you and let you know what happens if i remove the port in console.
