GPS output from Sierra Wireless MC8705 mini-pcie on RB411U

I’ve been trying to configure GPS on Sierra Wireless MC8705.

I’ve found very little info about it, it seems to support the gpsOne protocol from Qualcomm, but no much more info about it except generic info about working modes and so on.

Older (or bigger) wireless modem (big ones, not MiniPciE - [MP77x]) used to have AT commands to send NMEA output to the console port.

You can see that on 2130309_MP7xx_AT_Command_Reference.pdf from Sierra Wireless.
On 2130617_Supported _AT_Command_Reference-v2.4.pdf there is only one reference to GPS, on page 34 command AT!GSTATUS?, it seems the modem can be in smode “No service”, “AMPS”, “CDMA”, “GSM”, “HDR”, “WCDMA”, “GPS”, “WDMA+GSM”, “Unknown”. I don’t kow if this means that GPS is a working mode and is incompatible with using the modem as a 3G modem…

Does anybody has configured GPS on the MC8705?

Thanks in advance,

Have you had any luck in getting the GPS coords out of the unit?
I have also recently purchased the equipment and I am looking for any help I can get.

I can’t get coords out with Sierra Wireless MC8790 and MC8792V. Both have Qualcomm GPSone support and are connected through mini-PCIe. Monitor command returns nothing on all 7 channels. Anyone?
