Hi -
I have a groove 52 HPacn as an access point to a LAN. I use it to connect a mixing desk to an iPad for remote control. It goes nowhere near the internet.
To make things easy for me as I move between different mixing desks in different venues, I have it set as a bridge. I change the iPad ip to suit the ip of the desk (it can be a faff to change the ip of some mixing desks). It works great - except….
It never shows the wifi strength signal on the iPad because it cannot see a network. As a result the iPad thinks it is not connected to a network, and some apps will not operate unless they can see a network. If I use a router, the iPad shows the signal strength. But then I have an IP range I have to fit the mixing desk into, and then the system is not flexible without changing with mixing desk or the winbix settings.
Is there a way around this? What can I change on the groove to make my iPad think it is connected to a network? But still keep the flexibility of a bridge connection?
