Groove, Omnitik and new products

Since I saw this http://www.mikrotik.com/download/share/hu11.pdf I was very excited about new products. This is definately great news.
Can we get an idea of what the cost of these products would be? I’m highly interested in Groove and Omnitik…

product details will be coming soon, check with your distributor in ~2 weeks

thanx normis.Looking forward for those

when Groove, Omnitik will be available in China? thanks.

Hi Normis,

Will this RB750UP available in boards also??..you know what I’m thingking
The 24V 0.8A is not enough if it would drive the POE enabled ports

Thanks

Wirelessguy

the new devices will be available in 1-2 months, so keep asking your distributors.

what makes you think that 24V 0.8A is “not enough”? Not enough for what?

What is the power source for RB 750UP?

what if a device such as RB 800 which needs 48V?
Will it support 802.3af in the future?

no, 802.3af is not supported, it outputs the same as it gets in from jack, so 24V basically. it can only output 600mA per port, so calculate accordingly. 48V is not possible, this is more optimized for SXT, RB711 etc.

RB750UP was/is planned to be availlable this month - is the timeline still actual? The datasheet exists? Are there shielding/grounding on the eth. ports?

this says June http://www.mikrotik.com/download/share/generic.pdf

Thank for reply, hopfly the timeline is still reachable  . Previously:

  • Same as regular RB750
  • USB port
  • 24V Power Output on four ports
  • Controllable PoE out
  • SNMP support
  • Voltage and current monitors
  • Can power PoE capable devices
  • Less cables and PoE injectors
  • Available in May

yeah, http://www.mikrotik.com/download/share/hu11.pdf says May =)

looking forward to RB1100AHx2 tests

404

yeah, 10 minutes ago it was there - I first checked (see top post of the topic), then posted the result

p.s. Normis, change the description of BETA forum! (ROS v5) → (ROS v6)

fixed

Hello,

We have just installed one RB435G and it works fine for now :sunglasses:

Does anybody have new info about OmniTik? Cant wait to test OmniTik. That is what Im searching for until 2009. Hope it has 802.11 b/g/n.

Omnitik - 802.11a/b/g/n?

I’m hoping it has dual wlan interfaces: 5GHz for backhaul/mesh and 2.4Ghz for clients - is this too much to ask for?

I am keeping my fingers crossed!

Mikrotik,

When can we expect the OmniTik to hit store shelves? Can’t wait to get my hands on them?

Can someone provide some additional specs on the radio, cpu, ram etc?

Mikrotik? Any answer to our questions on Omnitik?

I’d also be curious to know why an outdoor device needs 5 LAN ports if what I read in the announcement was correct.
