Groove Wireless WAN

I’m sure I’m missing something simple…but have searched for a solution for a couple of days and not found one yet.

I’m trying to setup a wifi solution for my boat, using the Groove to connect to the marina wifi and a hAP ac to provide the local wifi.
I have this all working with the Groove in Station pseudobridge mode providing the WAN link on the PoE port of the hAP.

Is it possible to gain winbox access to the Groove in this configuration without swapping the Groove ethernet cable to connect directly to a PC?

Thanks in advance…Andy.

Easiest way: enable ROMON on both devices. Using your PC connected to hAP, select device and connect using ROMON.
Groove should then appear.

Direct IP access should work as well if your Groove as a fixed IP on the hAP side of network.

If all this does not work, you may want to provide a bit more info on how things are connected.
A small drawing with clear indication what goes where and which subnet is used where (can be on paper).

If I get your configuration right, the groove is set up as a bridge between the wlan and an ether interface, then the hap is set up as a “normal” router between the thus bridged WAN and the local LAN (i.e. with ether1 as WAN and all the other ports in a bridge as LAN and a nat masquerade rule).

If you assign an IP to the groove ether port you should be able to reach it via winbox or browser, of course unless you have something in firewall preventing it, having it auto-detected/listed in winbox is another thing.
