Grooves connecting to wrong Channels

Hi

Seen this a few times now, and cant work out how to resolve.

Install 4 Grooves at a site , all on channel 2412

Install another 4 grooves at same site, in channel 2447

Some of the grooves on channel 2447 will actualy appear in the registration table of the 2412 AP-Bridge device, but with screwed up results. Pings then go into the 1000’s and the system fails.

Thing is , its not all the grooves - out of that 8, only 1 or 2 are doing this.

THe quick fix was to actually set all the units to 2412, using WDS and its working a treat, however, we prefer to limit WDS to no more than 4 repeaters per primary.

Note: This is not a one off , we’ve seen the same issue across many, many installs this past few week, circa 120 grooves, 10 2.4 SXTS.

All set to 20mhz , b/g/n.

Any ideas please?

The clients will connect to the SSID, setting frequency in the client has no effect. If you don’t want them to connect to those APs, use the connect list, or choose a different SSID on the AP

All units are actually in AP-BRIDGE mode running static-WDS - Does the same rule apply?

Note: There is a single, shared SSID across all units.
