Dear All,
I have a working Captive Portal in Mikrotik which authenticates via a running Radius server.
Inside the Radius server, I have created a bandwidth plans with subscriptions such as 512-512 kbps and 960-960 kbps.
Each user is created with the above subscriptions plans in Radius and Mikrotik shapes the bandwidth according to the speeds provided and this is working well.
Now the requirement is such that I need to group certain users with specific subscriptions such as 960-960 kbps inside a certain pool. That is, I want to group 50 users using 960-960 kbps subscription and limit the total bandwidth provided to these 50 users at 30 Mbps.
This contention ratio of 1x50 should work such that if there are are 50 users inside this group, then the total bandwidth should not exceed 30 Mbps.
Also if there are only 5 users inside this pool at a certain period, then each users bandwidth should be exceed 2 Mbps.
Can this be done via the Mikrotik Router? Or there needs to be modifications made at the Radius server’s end?
Any help and suggestions will be highly appreciated.
Best regards,
Tek
