I’ve used the UniFi controller in the past to set-up a guest logon for the guest Wi-Fi. Does Mikrotik offer anything similar? To be honest, I’m not sure why my guest wants or needs it. They’re not going to do anything with the data but ho hum.
There is no out-of-box checkbox in the MikroTik environment to enable guest wifi. Instead of the guest policy I use a seperate guest vlan and firewall rules to prevent guest users having access to the corporate LAN.
Yes that’s what I normally do. We’re trying to talk the client out of the requirement - it’s a committee run organisation and only one person is asking for this. They can’t do much with the data anyway as they can’t do direct marketing. Guest isolation is fine IMO.
