Guest wifi with hotspot issue

HI all.

I have an RB2011UiAS-RM running 6.21.1

Most of the config is default, Ether 1 as a WAN port connected to the internet and receiving an address via DHCP.

All the other ports are part of a bridge with a DHCP server running issues 192.168.88.x/24. I can connect via these ports and route to the internet, use Winbox etc.

I initially added a Unifi AP running in guest mode with just an SSID and no password and setup a hotspot and usermanager. Worked perfectly plugged into ether 2.

I then attempted to reconfigure the AP to have two SSID’s, one with a password with no vlan tagging, and set the guest network to be vlan 2.

I created vlan 2 on the Mikrotik and gave it 10.5.50.1/24 and added vlan 2 to ether 2. I removed the hotspot and reran the hotspot setup and set it up on vlan 2.

When a client connects to the password protected SSID it’s all fine, but if you connect to the guest SSID you get assigned an IP address from the hotspot pool but you can’t reach the login page, it just times out.

Any thoughts?

Cheers
Matt.

If I remove the hotspot then connect to the guest network I can route everywhere fine.

Looking at the firewall page in Winbox I can see sessions appearing then dropping off when I have the hotspot enabled.
