half/quarter (10 MHz/5 MHz) channel width

Hello.

I’m trying to make a connection at half or quarter rate between my RB411 running an Atheros 5414 and my Linux PC running the same Atheros card. If I configure the RB411 as AP at 20 MHz, everything works fine. As soon as I select 5 or 10 MHz (and configure my PC to the same via the hardcoded bandwidth setting), I can see the AP in the scan but the association fails.

Has anyone been able to transfer data at 5 or 10 MHz? How?!?

Hi Chris

I have only used MikroTik to MikroTik using 5MHz channels, this was to work in a noisy environment with EPOS data, it was not used for high data transfer.

all we can help in this situation is to suggest you to enable logging and see what is going on between ROS and your linux distro.
