hAP ac - custom MACs on AP under CAPsMAN control

Hello!

There are several hAP ac - on one configured CAPsMAN which controls access points on other devices (also hAP ac). If the wireless interfaces work independently (without CAPsMAN), I can set custom MAC addresses for each interface. MAC addresses are picked up and APs work with these MACs.

If CAPsMAN starts to manage points (I write custom mac-addresses in CAP interface interfaces) then they still are not connected, and instead of them CAPsMAN automatically creates a new interface cap1, cap2… capN and controls the Aps. In this case, the mac address of the APs is reset to the one that was originally (as I understand it, this is the factory MAC piece of hardware)

Question - is it possible under CAPsMAN to configure and use custom mac addresses on managed APs?

Problem solved :slight_smile:

  1. Don’t touch AP! Work only with CAPsMAN!
  2. CAP interface must be already exist
  3. Change only MAC address in CAP interface - don’t touch Radio MAC and Radio Name!
