I am very new to Mikrotik and I am trying to learn as much as possible. What I am battling with at the moment is this. I have a 16 port Gigabit Netgear Switch, when I connect a cat 6 cable between the Mikrotik and the switch I get an error in the log, ether2 excessive or late collision, link duplex mismatch. This is when it is set to auto negotiate (which is try to set as 100Mbps half duplex), if I then set the port manually to 100Mbps full duplex the error log goes away. If I manually set it to 1000Mbps either full or half duplex I lose connectivity completely on that port. I have my computer plugged into the same switch and it connects at 1000Mbps using the same cable as the one I used on the Mikrotik. Software on the Mikrotik is updated to latest version. Not sure what else to try?
