Hi.
I just got 2 hAP AC Lite to be able to use at least the 100MBit ethernet connection at full speed in a home.
I have one Archer C7 since before.
Using the latest Macbook 12" I get without a problem 500MBit+ (Link speed TX on MacBook) on the WiFi.
Using the brand new hAP AC Lite i cant get more than 170-230MBit (Link speed TX on MacBook), mostly lower.
The hAP’s have the latest firmware and all packages are updated!
The frequencies are evenly spread apart, and I have tried different frequencies same results.
The hAP’s and Archer are placed on the same position. And only the MacBook connects to the 5GHz.
No encryption on either system.
The hAP’s have forced AC on 5GHz and 80MHz in bandwidth, and I have confirmed 80MHz on my MacBooks connection.
Whats wrong?!!
I believe the archer C7 uses the same processor as the full blown non-lite hAP AC, which is about twice as powerful as the hAP AC lite. Also, the AC lite doesn’t have the extra chains. I think what you are getting is not bad for the unit.
please post your hAP ac lite configuration
