We are testing out the hAP AC lites as CPE routers for our subscribers. We are getting them ready to deploy but we are running into an issue.
I have set up a router the way I want it and have created a backup config. Basically the only thing that I have changed is the WAN interface, which will be ether 5 and ether 1-4 will be bridged for LAN devices. Ether 5 will power the CPE antenna that connects to our tower and receives the internet connection. The SSID has been set to “SUBSCRIBER SSID” so that our field techs can just change the SSIDs for both 2.4/5ghz interfaces and PSK on-site according to the subscriber’s request.
When I open a brand new device and restore my config to it (using latest firmware), the wlan interfaces are disabled and reset. This requires me to reconfigure the wlan interfaces from scratch. All other settings that I have configured remain intact. All routers have been updated to the latest firmware, 6.36. The config file has been created while running the latest firmware.
I have many of these devices and it will be a pain for us to manually change each device even though the config file has all the correct settings that I want configured. I am wondering why the wlan interfaces get set to disabled after restoring the config and if there is a way for me to set up each device with the config file so that it’s ready to be deployed.
