HAP Ac lite tower router -> correction: AC2

Good day all. Kindly advise if the HAP AC lite tower is capable of handling 80 concurrent clients using relatively high bandwidth, or as a sort of “distribution switch”?

Hi,

Have you checked specification and test results for hAP ac lite? https://mikrotik.com/product/RB952Ui-5ac2nD#fndtn-testresults

Are you aware that it has 5 10/100Mb ports? Simple operation 100/80 gives 1,25Mb traffic per user.
If it is "high enough relatively high bandwith" for you then the answer is YES.

Thank you however we are not talking about the same product. I mean the HAP AC2. GIGABIT

Are you sure?

yup. Didn’t specify initially but yes we have the ac2 tower

Corrected title of this thread.
But the problem remains ... define "relatively high bandwidth" ? What value are we talking about ?

Also, HOW will these clients connect ? Simple ethernet ? VPN ? Wifi ?
What is your ISP connection like ? HOW is connection to your ISP ? PPoE ? Simple Ethernet ? ...
And probably some more questions ...

Without those answers, nobody can give you a valid answer.
The one thing you can check yourself (and already should have) are test results as published by Mikrotik. Take routing with 25 filter rules and 512 bytes packet size as guideline.

The answer of BartoszP remains, adjusted for new context.
As a router:
AC2 is capable of routing about 1Gbps.
Divide by 80 and you get 12.8 Mbps on average. Is that high enough ?

As a switch (provided it's configured correctly) that can be roughly doubled.
Is that high enough ?
