hAP ac lite unable to see mobile 5GHz hotspot

My internet is down today for planned maintenance so I’ve switched to my failover system whereby a hAP ac lite is connected to my mobile hotspot. Works a treat on 2GHz, scan and I can see the hotspot:

However, I thought I’d try and get the 5GHz connection working but RouterOS doesn’t even see the hotspot:

Those four SSID are a neighbour and my three 5G networks. But “Rob d’Mouse” never shows. Android 11. Any ideas? Not a showstopper as 2GHz is perfectly fine as the mobile signal gives about 40Mbps max anyway.

Check which channel your mobile hotspot is using (by scanning from device that does see it) and whether country setting on hAP ac lite might prevent using that channel …

Hmm strange, programmed in the SSID of the hotspot manually and now it can find my mobile. Although so many people hammering the EE network today due to this outage that even my phone is struggling to get >5Mbps :wink:
