HAP AC Lite (used as AP) keeps resetting

Hi

I have a TP Link AX3000 router as my main router and a cabled connection upstairs to a hAP Ac Lite which I use in AP mode to extend the range of the main router.

For some reason, the hAP AC Lite resets randomly during the day. The main router doesn’t reset.

Any ideas what this could be from?

how does it reset? like, rebooting? do the lights blink, or how did you find out, that it does this?

I assume it resets because the lights go off (on the front of the router), the internet disconnects, and then about 30 seconds later it’s all back on again and fine.

Have you tried changing power?

Could be power adapter issue. The router itself can’t even turn off if power is provided.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am not sure if it is a power related issue as the router doesn’t turn off, it just seems to reset or drop from the internet momentarily.

The power light remains on, but the internet lights turn off and then come back a few seconds later. Is there any way to try troubleshoot this?

The only reason I can pick up this issue is because often when I’m on a call across Microsoft Teams, the call drops for 20-30 seconds and then returns.

make a supout.rif file (there is a button for that in Winbox) after this happens. Email the file to support @ mikrotik com

I am convinced this is a power supply issue, replace with same as per specs in data sheet and should be fine[flash=][/flash]

Thank you all, I will try it out. It’s a struggle to find a new power adapter during this time.

Can I increased it the memory to 64 or 124mb?what brand is comparable to mikrotic router?

Hi all

So I got a new power supply for this router, and alas, the issue still occurs. Is it possible that this has anything to do with the router being an AP and perhaps the main router is resetting it somehow?

This is very frustrating, I wish I knew where to even start.
