HAP AC: Low latency WLAN for TPCast-tracking

Hi,

I am using a hap ac, which works fine, additional I got a tpcast, that is a device to use VR without a wire to the PC.
The picture is sent trough a proprietary 60GHZ transmitter but the tracking data is sent back trough a standard 5GHZ Router.

With that TPCast router it works well, with the hapac I got it connecting but the tracking stutters, which causes nausea.
https://github.com/OpenTPCast/Docs/blob/master/guides/ROUTER.md#using-a-different-router
Here it is written it could be used with other devices, so I want to know how I can optimize the mikrotik for better short range performance.

The router is the only one in this frequency band, atm set to 20/40/80MHZ eeeC, I tried it with 20/40 MHZ too but it didn’t work well eiter.
Additional to that I created a Virtual Wlan, because the device requires a specific ssid and password.
I bridged it to the ethernetport 5 which is connected to the 2nd NIC to my PC as I would do with the TPCast router.

In the time of the test no other device was connected either to the physical nor the virtual wifi interface.
I switched the queues from wireless-default to only hardware queue because I thought it was the cause of stuttering, but it didn’t change anything.
In the testing time there was no dropped packets in the traffic view of the interface.

Is there still anything I can do to get a better performance?

thanks devzero.

I’m also curious about this. I have an excellent connection (-45 dBm, 90+ CCQ) yet I still see 2ms as my lowest ping time. With other vendors I’ve seen < 1ms.
