I have an hAP ac mikrotik router, I have connected ether2 to a gigabit Netgear switch. When I look in the log file on the Mikrotik it shows ether2 excessive or late collision, link duplex mismatch. This is when it is set to auto negotiate. I then manually set it to 100Mbps full duplex and the error goes away. If I try and set to 1000Mbps full or half duplex I lose all connectivity and have to move the ethernet cable to another lan port on the Mikrotik to access it again. My computer is connected to the same switch and I have used the same cable and it connects at 1Gbps so the cable and switch look okay? What can I check to sort this out?
