Dear friends
can you please advice whether it’s possible to power on 802.3af ip camera from hAP AC port 5 if i use 48POW power supply for the router box?
The native power supply (24pow) seems not enough for the camera to switch on from PoE.
Thank you
no, that port only supports passive PoE output, at the same voltage as you input with the DC jack, so most likely camera will not work.
Sorry, normis
you mean PoE port outputs the same voltage which is on DC input? So if i use 48POW i should have 48v on PoE port. Is that right?
Now i’m using 18pow and the voltage on PoE port seems not enough.
For those who might be interested - i replaced the 18POW with 48POW for my hAP AC box.
The ip camera (Dahua DH IPC-HDW4631C-A 6MP HD POE) PoE’d from ethernet port 5 works fine now.
Very interesting, I work with Dahua cameras.
Regards.
