I accidentally pushed my reset button too hard and I broke it right off. Can anyone help identifying which solder points I need to jumper to reset my router?
Points 1 & 2? or a combination of the 4?
The D52G_5HacD2HnD board:

Thank you!
guess 3 & 4 are just to pin the button to the board … but you could test the the broken button with a beeper … ?! … the one with the switching-function are yours.
.
… btw. sincs your box is open : ) … can you post a photo from the whole board ? … just another issue to consider. Thanks.
Thanks for taking the time to reply. I think I know what you mean. Attached is the image you requested. CheerS.

gacias !
Test the PCB pads with multimeter in continuity/resistance mode. They will be wired in pairs and one pair will be ground (the button pulls the GPIO to the ground).
On your photo pad 1 is very likely GPIO pin as I can see filtering capacitor on it. So my guess is switch connect 1,2 (gpio) to 3,4 (gnd).
Hi, did you manage to solve it in the end? I have the same problem as you, I soldered pin 1 to 4 using a button but I can’t get it to work, should I solder something to the 4 pins?
Just buzzed the board with multimeter and:
Pins 1 and 2 are actual switch pins (open when not pressed, connected together when button is pressed).
Pins 3 and 4 are for metal bracket and they are connected together at all times.
So from what you say, I should solder the switch on 1 and 2, I soldered it on 1 and 4 when I saw that only by alternating that combination did they mark power on the multimeter.
yes, solder a switch from 1 to 2
perfect thanks to your advice I was able to recover the router, how did you leave the final button to have an idea?
I saw that between the 4 pins there are two small holes, could I solder two pins to insert a computer connector? or you didn’t try it
I replaced the broken button using same button from another dead routerboard, so everything looks like nothing happened…
at first it could work without reset button or is there any problem about it?
I saved the router but when trying to manipulate the button and the cables one got loose.
Work perfectly without button.
The two hole are testing point for test the button when is in place.
The hole are maded for reach the two contact point under the button.
Is useless soldering anything here.
