Hi guys!
I’m trying to connect my hAP ac to internet provider who gives me 100Mb link. I’ve tried to use two modules: ATOP APSB53013CXL3 and D-Link DEM-302S-BXD.
My provider doesn’t allow me to use auto-negotiation, so I’ve tried to set auto-negotiation = false and 100Mb. This way I see that link is active (SFP led glows) and I don’t get IP address via DHCP. I’m getting same result with both modules.
I’ve also tried to connect fiber to media converter and then to eth1 port and everything works like a charm. Same with both SFP modules and old D-Link DIR-615 router, so modules are working.
What I’m doing wrong and how can I set up 100Mb connection with hAP ac and SFP module?
Try keeping the link at the default of 1G … I’d be surprised to see the fiber SFP allow you to actually drop the speed to 100M. The ISP should be providing your 1G via the SFP and using a shaper to push the connection down to 100M.
provider doesn’t allow me to keep link speed 1Gb - they have 100Mb switch on their side. And one of modules I’m using is 100Mb, not 1Gb
