hAP ac2 running 7.13.4 has failed whilst attempting 7.13.5 upgrade. Netinstall seems the obvious next move. Everything going fine until ‘Install’, at which point Routerboard status changes from ‘Ready’ to ’Installing’. Message ‘Sending offer’ shows. After eight seconds status changes back to ‘Ready’. No install achieved, no files move, no progress bar shows. This sounds like the licence has been damaged.
Initially I attempted to Netinstall with the upgrade. Then I tried to Netinstall with 7.13.4, but the results are the same. hAP ac3 updated successfully at the same time.
Has anyone had a similar experience? Any advice gratefully received, thank you.
Yes, I had the same experience on an ac2 when the total package file sizes appeared to bigger than available storage. Tried netinstall with ROS only and it worked OK, but I had no wireless drivers. I discovered if I went back to netinstall and clicked on the wireless driver first, it auto added ROS which then worked. I obviously needed to exclude any config or supout generation.
Thank you MaxwellsEq. Early on I had dropped the Wireless package from the install thinking I could do that separately later but presently I am failing to install just ROS. That behaviour is worryingly at odds with your experience.
The problem is resolved but I cannot describe a definitive solution. I tried installing the wireless package first, which flagged ROS dependence. In clearing that selection the Netinstall app closed. Re-opening the app, selecting just ROS to install, everything worked exactly as it should. So the solution is simply to persevere.
