Hap AC2 slow wireless

For some reason my WiFi is very slow. I don’t care about 2.4GHz, but I do about 5GHz, mainly for my Oculus Quest

Both my Oculus Quest and my phone show this

Here is my config https://pastebin.com/m2jhwkPh, the only things I omitted are static DHCP leases and my serial number

I tried playing around with frequencies, but nothing got me above 192Mbit (my Windows laptop shows 200 something, not sure here, it definitely isn’t anywhere near close 800Mbit rated) and high frequencies just don’t seem to be supported by my devices

Help would be appreciated.

Did you try 80MHz channel width ? (if it is supported by the client device)

Also, am sure you know that you cant reach the theoritical maximum right ?

Advanced mode, enable WMM, set indoors installation, set 80 MHz channels. For further speed, install OpenWRT.

Besides the remarks above, also use WPA2 AES only.

WMM is about traffic prioritization not speed …

Well considering my old crappy TPLink Archer C1200 could reach around 600Mbit… yes I know I can’t reach the max, but 200Mbit causes my Oculus Quest to cut out mid game, which isn’t ideal.

This is my current security profile setting.

Okay, it seems going to 20/4080MHz XXXX did it, devices list 866Mbit, thanks!

But the channel selection got switched to Automatic, I wonder if that did it rather than channel width

Check on the Registration table the channel width used by your client device.. Does it use 80 MHz ?
Also on the Status page of your AP the frequency selected …

WMM is required for all rates above 54mbps. I don’t know how exactly it’s implemented on Mikrotik since even with it off you can still see > 54mbps, but the spec requires it for all 802.11n / 802.11ac rates. I think it’s ridiculous that it’s off and hidden behind advanced mode by default.
